SA Polls enjoy success at Dubbo 2002 The South Aussies continued to show their strength as one of the leading sources of Poll Hereford seedstock at the recent 2002 National Poll Hereford Show & Sale. 4 SA breeders made the long haul to Dubbo with 16 bulls and enjoyed very good results in the judging and the sale ring. Both the Grand Champion Bull and the Top Sale Price Bull were shown by South Australians - this result was a repeat of the 2001 National. The coveted President's Shield for a team of three bulls was also snared by a South Australian breeder for the second year in a row. Go South Aussie!! South Australians once again provided good buying support at the Dubbo Sale with Williams Cattle Co, Carrieton a major volume purchaser buying 30 bulls for a $2608 average for their properties in the Oonadatta district. Nine South Aussie studs were also active at Dubbo securing new sires for their herds to a top of $28,000. Overall Sale Summary
