SA Polls enjoy success at Dubbo 2003 - Again! The South Aussies cemented their position as one of the leading sources of Poll Hereford seedstock at the 2003 National Poll Hereford Show & Sale. 4 SA breeders again made the long haul to Dubbo with 16 bulls and enjoyed enviable results in the judging and sale ring. Both the Grand Champion Bull and the Top Sale Price Bull were shown by a South Australian stud - a mirror image result of the 2001 and 2002 National Sales. The coveted President's Shield for a team of three bulls was also snared by a South Australian breeder for the third year in a row. Congratulations to these breeders on their outstanding success. South Australians once again provided good buying support at the Dubbo Sale with Williams Cattle Co, Carrieton a major volume purchaser securing 20 bulls ($2675 average) for their properties in the Oonadatta district. Several South Aussie studs were also active at Dubbo securing new sires for their herds to a top of $12,000. A number of other SA studs also bid actively. Overall Sale Summary
