SA Polls dominate at Dubbo 2004 - Again!

The South Aussies demonstrated that they continue to be one of, if not the, leading source of Poll Hereford seedstock at the 2004 National Poll Hereford Show & Sale.  In a repeat of the last THREE years both the Grand Champion Bull and the Top Sale Price Bull were shown by a South Australian stud -  a mirror image result of the 2001, 2002 & 2003 National Sales.   The coveted President's Shield for a team of three bulls was also snared by a South Australian breeder for the fourth year in a row.

Congratulations to these breeders on their outstanding success.

South Australians once again provided good buying support at the Dubbo Sale with Williams Cattle Co, Carrieton a major volume purchaser securing 13 bulls in the $2000 to $3500 range for their properties in the Oonadatta district.  Several South Aussie studs were also active at Dubbo securing new sires for their herds to a top of $18,000.
